Insurance

Navigating the details of the graduate student insurance plan can be difficult without help. To help guide you, we have a provided a list of contacts and resources.

The general coverage includes health, mental health, and dental. The only major area not included is vision insurance, but this may change in the future. JHU requires that you maintain an insurance policy that is equal to or better than what they offer. For details on this, please contact the JHU Benefits Office (410-516-2000). Generally speaking, the health insurance covers 90%-100% of a large number of services.

Your insurance coverage begins on the same day as your official matriculation into Johns Hopkins, though this may vary for different years. If you have not yet received your insurance cards by that time, you can contact EHP insurance as well as the JHU Benefits office to obtain your member I.D. number.
